The Purrfect Roommate
Hey guys by mrbuckalew

So I know it's been a while, too long admittedly; but for anyone who still gets these news messages or sees them or whatever, I just wanted to do an update.

Purrfect Roommate is not dead, not entirely anyway.

Since the last update, I've changed jobs which was demanding me to work seven days a week for a few months. Things have finally started to settle down, and I've been working on reorganizing my life to makes things more efficient.

I have been working on the book TAILS ON THE SURFACE and am halfway through the first rough draft.

With that said I will be putting the book on hold for a while as more pressing projects have come up.

I am going to be working on a comic book that my father and I came up with years ago. My dad's health isn't the best, and I wish to have at least the first issue of this mini-series published before I lose him. The comic is the same one referenced in issue #11: NO SVEATING, Natman.

It's going to be a very silly superhero parody series about Wannabe supervillains. My dad is very excited about it which makes me want to make sure it gets done while he's still around. After that, I'll be setting my life up to try to get back to the comic and work on the book.

To anyone who has read this, I can't express how much I appreciate you for taking the time. I know that I haven't done this comic justice with my inability to produce more content and I regret that heavily. I hope within the next year I can turn a new leaf and be able to make this comic more than what it is.

Thank you

Hey so yeah it's been a little while. Life is kind of hectic but I'm slowly figuring things out.
No I haven't dropped the comic, I've just been struggling getting around to working on it.
I have made some progress on the book though. Currently working on the first draft of chapter 3. I've done 2 drafts of one and two so it's been a bit of a slow process since I've never written a novel before and it's rough trying to write around a 50+ work hour day job.
I have set up a schedule for livestreams that I'm certain is do able.
Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 - 9 or 10 pm EST and maybe some random ones throughout the week when I have time.
Wednesday streams are typically gaming days but I think they're just going to be general stream days so I'll do some drawing during those days from time to time.
Thursdays are art days, spend part of the time doing various works then spend part of it working on things for the book. This will most likely be the days I work on the comic when I stream. I'm getting some other things out of the way first and once I have then I'll just work on the comic then work on the book.
Right now I'm working on the book cover and I'm really liking how it's turning out.

I've also been making Emotes of the characters

I'm having a blast making these so expect a lot more.

That's roughly the gist of what's going on right now. I am working on stuff it's taking longer than I'd like.

Hope you're having a great day.

Yes that's true I am actually working on a book based on the webcomic.
FAQ that no one asked:
1 - Is it going to be a book form of the comic?
No, this is actually going to be something that is not going to be in the comic at all. At least not this story in particular.
2 - What's the book about then?
All I can say is that is about the gang in a fantasy setting going on an adventure.
3 - Do I have to keep asking questions
No it just makes me feel important....

So yeah I am actually making some good progress on it and there will be illustrations in the book so I will be working on it from time to time on my livestreams http://www.twitch.tv/missingminds

If the progress continues as it has been then it will take a few months for it to be done before I need to find a publisher or do self publishing. Hopefully it will be done soon. I'm actually really excited about it and I can't wait for you guys to read it.

So yeah this might not actually get in the way of issues getting done since that's random already, but at least I will still be working on something with the gang.
Is this a good idea to do even though there's not an actual following of the comic or even that many issues of the comic out?...maybe but... why not do it.

So there ya go. Follow me on twitch if you want to keep up with it and other things.

Love y'all

Hi guys, it's been a while.
Not sure how I can apologies for something I've apologized for already and not sound like a broken record.

Not sure if this will come across as making excuses or legit reasons but I'm just gonna be transparent.

So my day job has been suffering (I work in the food industry) over the summer which has lead to my weekly pay to drop in half. Yet my student loans have not changed which was a lot a month. So I had to drop everything and just work work work work just to scrape by. Also living off Ramen (best diet. 10/10)

BUT NOW things are picking back up and I can get back to doing what I actually enjoy doing.

So ACT 3 has started with the last two issues. I am working on the scripts right now. Hopefully new issues will be out within the next month and I'll try to figure out a set schedule that I can keep.

So here's looking at you kid... get off my lawn!
